Barcelona is an open and fun city. And so you mustn’t miss this museum dedicated to erotica. You’ll find it on the Rambla at Number 96.

Created in 1977 to offer visitors a curious, educational and of course playful view of the subject, it makes for a memorable visit.

This is a tour around cultural erotica through all its various forms and expressions, such as literature, art, history, archaeology and anthropology.

With more than 800 pieces this is a pioneer museum of art and culture in which you are sure to come across some surprises.

Eroticism see through the eyes of other cultures is always attractive. Wood cuts and illustrations from Indian culture are full of colour and poetry to the dark sadomasochism of the 17th century. Charms, symbols, figures, objects, paintings and photographs...it’s all there.

In any case, it’s the art of seeing and imagining, with the strongest of our impulses: eroticism.
