Zehlendorf District

Zehlendorf District (52)

The district of Zehlendorf is the heart and lungs of Berlin. Here you will find large green spaces and beautiful residential areas full of old houses. For this very reason, we recommend you have a peaceful walk through this neighbourhood and recover from the hectic visits you have made to the most renowned buildings and monuments in the city centre.

American forces which occupied Berlin during the Cold War based themselves right in this area and it became famous for this reason. In fact, the American Consulate is still located here, in the same place it was years before.

In addition, the district is home to the John F. Kennedy School, and various campuses of the Berlin Public University, the biggest in the city.

The neighbourhood is also lucky enough to have in it the Wannsee Lake and Grunewald Forest. Many Berliners dream of having a house in this privileged zone, surrounded by an idyllic landscape and far from the chaos of the city centre.

Take the opportunity to come to Zehlendorf to breathe deeply and enjoy long walks among its trees and gardens. Whether in spring or winter, the scenery is spectacular.
