TriBeCa

TriBeCa (36)

The famous neighbourhood of TriBeCa derives its name from the first letters of Triangle Below Canal. This area has undergone a similar transformation to the one that took place in SoHo in the late 1970s and early 1980s, primarily as a result of the TriBeCa Film Festival, which was launched by the real hero of the neighbourhood, Robert de Niro.

This area is home to fascinating art galleries, antique shops selling genuine relics, luxury boutiques and outstanding restaurants, so taking a stroll here is a delightful experience for all your senses. In a sense, it's similar to its neighbour SoHo, but the streets are less chaotic and the prices in the bars less extortionate.

Besides the TriBeCa Film Center at the corner of Greenwich and Franklin, other unmissable trips include the unique wrought-iron building at 85 Leonard Street and the federal-style architecture of the houses located between 25 and 41 Harrison Street, near Greenwich Street.
