Jardins du Trocadéro

Jardins du Trocadéro (14)

These gardens occupy no less than 10 hectares with winding paths, big trees, stairways… although its most important and well known element is its central lake. It is surrounded by sculptures by important artists such as “Man” by Traverse, “Woman” by Braque, “Bull” by Jouve or “Horse” by Guyot.

The fountains are quite spectacular and provide choreographies based on the extraordinary jets of water, specially lit at night.

The fact is, the Jardins du Trocadéro are full of life. There are always skaters and other young people having fun. You must have seen on television an image of people bathing in this lake. Do not jump in the water though, since it is only allowed on certain days in the summer when it gets really hot in Paris.

In any case, we are sure that the most important aspect of these gardens is that, with the fountains of the lake below, they are an ideal setting to see and, of course, photograph, the Eiffel Tower.

So get your camera ready and begin to walk down from Trocadéro, passing the Pont d’Iena, towards the Champ de Mars, one of the most-visited areas in the whole world.
