Reveillon is the huge New Year's Eve Party held since the 80s in Copacabana. This celebration brings millions of people together on the sands of this famous beach to enjoy concerts by such famous figures as the Brazilian Carlinhos Brown and the Brit Rod Stewart, and also to witness one of the most impressive fireworks displays in the world, in which more than 20 thousand tonnes of fireworks offer viewers a wonderful spectacle of light and colour on the water.

And do not be surprised to see cariocas dressed in white or jumping over three consecutive waves in the middle of the night. These small traditions, together with custom of throwing flowers into the Atlantic Ocean, are little rituals to bring good luck in the coming year. Do you dare to jump a few waves?
