This street market, located behind the city’s Olympic Stadium, at one end of the Isla de La Cartuja, takes place every Sunday morning. In the past however, it used to be held at Alameda de Hércules in the Macarena district.
This street market and el Jueves [The Thursday Market] on Calle de la Feria, which is mainly for antiques, and obviously takes place on Thursdays, are the two most important markets in Seville.
In fact, you can find practically anything here, from agricultural tools to photographs and paintings, even plants and shoes! This is a great meeting ground for Sevillians and tourists alike. Additionally, the entire area has lots of great cafes and restaurants and can be good place to rest before you start hunting the amazing bargains that you are sure to find here.
