Café Museum

Café Museum (52H)

Operngasse 7

It opened its doors in 1899. Decorated by Adolf Loos, its simple interior was far removed from the organic style of the time, lamps with bare bulbs with electric cables, it was considered revolutionary and did not last long, in 1930 it was redesigned by Josef Zotti but a restoration in 2003 tried to restore its original appearance.

Here painters like Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele or writers like Elias Canetti and Karl Kraus regularly enjoyed a coffee.

Sure you can enjoy a coffee here like you have never had, because in the Museum, for example, every day up to 15 kilos are used to offer 20 different varieties, so you have plenty to choose from.
