Stubenring, 24.
It is the birthplace of bridge players. It has a somewhat shabby appearance and a very lively atmosphere. It is a neighbourhood café and we invite you to mix with the locals to experience the true Vienna.
It was designed by Oswald Haerdtl during the 50s, one of the best designers and architects from Vienna. Inside it is a mix of elegance and false glamour and it is very popular among design students. The back of the café is probably the most attractive, a paradise for lovers of Art Nouveau.
Recently renovated and restored by the architect Johannes Spalt, the elegant Art Nouveau ceiling combined with striking green tables, quality fabrics, arabesques and ornaments, provides a unique and timeless experience in the Austrian capital.
